Referrals
Sometimes it may be necessary to refer your pet to a specialist. This could be to have a scan performed or to have a complete heart workup or orthopaedic surgery/assessment.
Cardiology referrals now take place at our surgery with Sue Roberts. Sue is self employed and will discuss referral costs with you directly.
Veterinary medicine is very much advancing in the same way human medicine is. Vets tend to specialise more and offer very high quality standards. This does not mean to say that routine procedures falling under those categories cannot be performed adequately at any practice but when it comes down to very specialised knowledge and equipment sometimes it is better to seek the best possible alternative for your pet at that time.
We can normally arrange referral appointments at short notice, depending on the discipline involved and the hospital your pet is being referred to. We will endeavour to the best of our abilities to make the referral as little stressful as possible for all parties concerned.
